After 30 years of church planting and church construction, we could tell countless stories of facing off with the enemy the apostle Paul called the “beast”.
In Madrid, Mexico, after the town prostitute received Christ, she donated her home and we built a church on her lot!
In Tuxpan, Mexico, we fought the witches of the city who hurled live frogs with their mouths sewn shut into the pastor’s home as a curse against the preaching of the Word. One witch found Christ and a church was built across the street from her house, which she attended.
In San Juan De Los Lagos, nicknamed “The Nest of Satan”, God’s favor opened the doors for us to plant the first evangelical church ever at the gates of hell itself!
In Tahuachal, Mexico we fought the witch of the SANTA MUERTE cult, built a new church, and broke 40 years of demonic control over the city! The witch left the city!
In Guzman, Mexico it took two earthquakes to break the back of the demonic strongholds. Through a tent crusade, we were able to build a church that became a lighthouse in the city for the Lord.
In Tonala, Mexico, a city called “The Place Where the Sun Rises”, and also called: “The Factory of Paganism”, because for centuries idols were hand-made by Indians who under hallucinogens created demonic figures for satanic worship in Mexico. The Satanic church fasted and prayed against us, according to new converts. After 22 months of Good News Crusades, a beautiful two-story church with a bell tower was built. On dedication day we rang the bell declaring Tonala to be the city where “The Son of God Has Risen!”
However, right now what we are witnessing in the midst of the border war zone is unprecedented!!
The opposition is great, but there is a door open like never before! In Ephesus, Paul declared that his life was in peril hourly, that he died daily, and that he fought the BEAST of Ephesus”.
We have been fighting the beast of the border for years! Our beast come in the form of political corruption, abuses against wives and children, witches, the cycle of poverty, La Santa Muerte, also known as The Holy Death, the satanic cult who has the grim reaper as their spirit guide, the drug cartels, and terrible atrocities against the Mexican people and civil leaders.
The last four years we have seen sin abound. Although we have seen evil turn communities into lawless chaos, we have seen God’s grace much more abound. The Ho
Holy Spirit has promised to show greater and mightier things than we could even imagine!
Today I can announce that we are seeing open doors that have no bounds, but we also are privy to the retaliations of the strongholds of darkness.
Today, I can hardly fathom the magnitude of recent events corresponding to the new mayor of Matamoros. We believe that this is a “game changer” like nothing we have ever seen in 30 years! Imagine! The mayor is calling prayer meetings instead of political rallies! This opens doors with no boundaries, BUT, great are the obstacles we must overcome!
HERE’S THE STORY! Just days ago we hosted a team from First AG, Chickasha, Oklahoma, including Pastor Paul Knight and Greg Elliot, the former mayor of Chickasha, and their wives. We were invited to meet the new mayor of Matamoros, Mexico. When we were introduced to Mayor Leticia Salazar, we discovered that she was a beautiful, single, Christian lady in her thirties.

Since Mayor Leticia took office four months ago, she has made sweeping changes in the city.She replaced the corrupt police department with state police, closed many bars (cantinas) that prostituted under-age girls, leveraged the removal of the border aduana that allowed the cartels to do business across the bridge unabated, and bulldozed the shrines to the goddess of Holy Death (La Santa Muerte) from all entrances to the city.
The fall-out is that her life is daily in peril! Incredibly, she was raised in the AG, and her grandparents helped found an AG church in Matamoros!
During our meeting with Mayor Leticia, we had the opportunity to lay hands on her in the midst of a media blitz. In tears, she told us to please continue to pray for her. We assured her that we will.
We are asking you to remember her in prayer. She is laying her life on the line to fight political corruption, the drug cartels, and the Santa Muerte cult. She and her family are at risk and need your prayer support desperately.
What does this means? For the first time we have a Christian mayor of a city of about one million who is willing to work hand-in-hand to confront the enemy. We must take advantage of the favor the Lord has given us with Mayor Leticia, the widest door we have seen.
Please consider two things.
First, pray for angels to encamp around Mayor Leticia and the McGee family as we travel through perilous places. Why? The mayor and our family are under an all-out attack of the enemy. The beast is trying to thwart our ability to respond to this open door.
What does this means? For the first time we have a Christian mayor of a city of about one million who is willing to work hand-in-hand to confront the enemy. We must take advantage of the favor the Lord has given us with Mayor Leticia, the widest door we have seen.
Please consider two things.

By faith, we are believing for 2 new supporters of $1,000 per month (a church, a business, or even an individual), and 15 new supporters of $100 per month. Agree with us that the response from God’s people will be more than enough to launch us into our next term!
Presently, we have petitioned the state to donate a huge piece of prime real estate to build a church and possibly an LACC school. Across the city within 300 yards of the river, we are trying to purchase a piece of land for a new church that is running around 140! And, we see the potential now to start a bilingual church in the inner-city!
Doors are open! The opportunities shout us to respond. We are impeded only by having to raise our budget. Agree in prayer with us for a miracle.
